1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern use of the online fee payment Portal of St. Mary’s (N) School, Doranda, Ranchi. By accessing the Portal or making a payment, the user confirms acceptance of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and applicable School fee rules.
2. Purpose and Authorised Use
The Portal enables students, parents, guardians and authorised users to view fee details, make school fee payments, check transaction status and obtain digital receipts.
The user must be the student, parent, lawful guardian or another person authorised to pay on behalf of the student. Where the student is a minor, the Portal should be used under the authority or supervision of a parent or lawful guardian.
3. User Responsibilities
Before payment, the user must verify the student name, roll or registration number, class, section, academic session, fee period and amount payable. The user is responsible for information selected or entered on the Portal.
The School may consider a genuine wrong-account payment under the Refund Policy, but correction or refund is subject to verification and approval.
Prohibited use
- Attempting unauthorised access to the Portal, server or database.
- Manipulating fee details or transaction records.
- Using another student account without authorisation.
- Introducing malicious code or interfering with Portal availability.
- Providing false information or using the Portal for an unlawful purpose.
4. Fee Amounts and Payment Methods
Fee amounts displayed on the Portal are based on School records and may include tuition fee, annual charges, bus fee, examination charges, late fees or other notified charges. Where a discrepancy occurs, the School’s verified fee ledger and officially notified fee structure will prevail, subject to correction of genuine errors.
Available payment methods may include UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking or other methods supported by the integrated payment gateway. Convenience fees, payment gateway charges or applicable taxes may be shown before payment confirmation.
By authorising a transaction, the user confirms that they are authorised to use the selected payment method and that the payment is intended for the selected student and fee demand.
5. Successful, Failed and Duplicate Transactions
A transaction is treated as successfully completed after confirmation from the payment gateway or bank and reconciliation in School records. A digital receipt may be generated after confirmation.
A transaction may fail or remain pending due to bank rejection, network interruption, expired session, gateway downtime, technical checks or delayed confirmation. Users should avoid repeated payment while a transaction is pending.
Duplicate payments may be refunded or adjusted only after verification and approval under the Refund Policy. A successfully completed payment cannot ordinarily be cancelled directly through the Portal.
6. Account and Payment Security
The user is responsible for protecting login credentials, using a secure device and connection, and logging out after completing a transaction.
The School will never require a user to disclose a UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, OTP or banking password to School staff. Any suspected unauthorised activity should be reported immediately.
7. Portal Availability and Records
The School endeavours to keep the Portal available but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Temporary unavailability may arise from maintenance, server issues, network failure, gateway downtime, security concerns or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Users should retain the digital receipt and bank confirmation until the payment is reflected in the student fee account. The School may correct a receipt or ledger entry where a technical, clerical or payment-processing error is identified.
8. Responsibility and Third-Party Services
Payment processing is also subject to the payment gateway, bank, UPI provider or card network terms. The School does not control a bank’s approval, rejection or reversal decision.
To the extent permitted by law, the School will not be responsible for loss caused solely by bank or gateway downtime, incorrect information entered by the user, unauthorised use resulting from voluntary sharing of credentials, device or internet failure, or events beyond reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes, Governing Law and Contact
The School may update these Terms because of operational, technological, payment-process or legal changes. The latest version published on the Portal will apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in India. Subject to mandatory legal rights, disputes relating to the Portal or online fee payments will be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts at Ranchi, Jharkhand.
